HighTalk is built on respect, safety, and authentic connections. These Community Guidelines help create an environment where everyone can communicate freely while feeling protected. By using HighTalk, you agree to uphold these standards.
1. Be Respectful and Kind
Treat others as you would like to be treated. Respectful communication is the foundation of our community.
- Use polite and considerate language
- Respect different opinions, backgrounds, and perspectives
- Avoid personal attacks, insults, or derogatory comments
- Give constructive feedback, not destructive criticism
- Be patient with users who are new to the platform
2. Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action.
Prohibited Behaviors:
- Bullying, intimidation, or threats
- Stalking or unwanted contact after being asked to stop
- Doxxing (sharing personal information without consent)
- Sexual harassment or unwanted advances
- Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or nationality
3. Protect Privacy and Safety
Your safety and the safety of others is paramount.
- Never share others' personal information without permission
- Protect your own privacy - don't share sensitive personal details publicly
- Report suspicious or dangerous behavior immediately
- Don't impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Respect end-to-end encryption - don't screenshot private conversations without consent
For Minors: Users under 18 should never share personal information like addresses, phone numbers, or school names. Parents, please review our
Child Safety Standards.
4. Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly forbidden on HighTalk:
- Illegal content or activities
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) - violations reported to NCMEC and law enforcement
- Graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm
- Explicit sexual content or pornography
- Spam, scams, phishing, or fraudulent schemes
- Malware, viruses, or malicious links
- Content promoting terrorism or extremism
- Misinformation that could cause harm (e.g., dangerous health advice)
5. Respect Intellectual Property
Honor the creative work and rights of others.
- Don't share copyrighted content without permission
- Give credit when sharing others' work
- Don't use HighTalk branding or trademarks without authorization
- Report copyright violations to admin@hightalk.me
6. Authentic Use Only
HighTalk is for real people having real conversations.
- No bots or automated accounts without explicit permission
- One account per person (no duplicate accounts)
- Don't manipulate platform features or exploit bugs
- No artificial engagement (fake likes, followers, etc.)
7. Enforcement and Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations (1-30 days)
- Permanent Ban: Severe violations or repeated offenses
- Legal Action: Illegal content reported to authorities
Appeals: If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact admin@hightalk.me with "Appeal" in the subject line.
8. Reporting Violations
Help us maintain a safe community by reporting violations.
- Use the in-app report button on any message or profile
- Email admin@hightalk.me for serious concerns
- All reports are reviewed by our moderation team
- False reports may result in account penalties
Emergency Situations:
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services immediately. HighTalk cannot provide emergency response.
9. Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines to reflect platform changes or community needs.
- Significant changes will be announced via email or in-app notification
- Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance
- Review guidelines periodically to stay informed
